Bureta FC first team to qualify for NCC semifinal

Bureta Football Club is the first team to book a spot in the semifinal of the 2016 Vodafone National Club Championship after the Suva based club topped Pool B in the competition.

The Poasa Bainivalu captained side won by default against Green Star FC of Nadroga and defeated Nailaga FC of Ba 2‑0 yesterday.

In other matches played yesterday, Press FC of Lautoka defeated Lokia United of Tailevu Naitasiri 2‑0, defending champions 4R Electric of Ba won 2‑1 against Civic FC of Suva, Gandhi FC of Nadi and FC City United of Lautoka drew 2 all.

Meanwhile, Lokia United of Tailevu Naitasiri won 2‑1 against Agriculture FC.

In the pool games coming up today, 4R Electrical Football Club play Kulukulu Youth Football Club at 11am, Gandhi Football Club battles Blues Football Club at 12.15pm while Greenstar Football Club play Nailaga Football Club at 1.30pm.

Press Football Club plays Agriculture Football Club at 2.45pm, Civic Football Club takes on Kulukulu Youth Football Club at 4pm while FC City United will play Blues Football Club at 5.15pm.
