Ba loses to Nalkutan FC in first OFC Champions League match

The Ba soccer team lost 1-0 to Nalkutan FC of Vanuatu in its first match of the OFC Champions League last night.

The match was played in Vanuatu.

Ba conceded the goal through a penalty after Malakai Tiwa handled the ball in Ba's penalty box.

Consequently, Tiwa who already was yellow carded in the first half was shown the red card and Ba was reduced to 10 men.

Nalkutan FC was a better side and created numerous scoring opportunities from the first whistle.

Ba can still make it to the quarterfinal stage however will need to win its two remaining matches.

Ba will face Lae City at 3pm next Tuesday in its second match.

Meanwhile, the Vodafone Premier League will continue today.

Dreketi will host Nadi at Subrail Park at 1.30pm, Rewa will face Lautoka at Ratu Cakobau Park at 3pm while the match between Tavua and Suva has been postponed because of bad weather conditions.

The match was scheduled to take place at Garvey Park today.

The Rakiraki and Tailevu Naitasiri Senior League match has also been postponed.
