Following the complaint, the Council carried out an inspection of the bakery and identified several concerns relating to food safety and hygiene.
The Council says it then issued a Non-Compliance Notice to the business, while the matter has been referred to the Suva City Council for further action as well.
They say that the affected consumer was also given a refund.
The Council adds food safety is not negotiable and will continue to take firm action against businesses that put consumers at risk.
