No charges laid for suspects of the death of Sigatoka man, who was horse-riding with sons on Sunday

No charges have been laid in relation to the death of 38-year-old Vimal Vikash Nand, who was allegedly assaulted in Sigatoka on Sunday.

Nand later died as a result of the alleged assault and he was laid to rest at Koromumu Cemetery today.

A father and son were taken into custody on Monday in relation to the alleged incident and Police have yet to release any information on them, despite continuous communications sent to them.

It is alleged that Nand and his sons were assaulted on Sunday by the two suspects following a confrontation over an incident involving one of Nand’s farm animals.

A resident had earlier told fijivillage News that the suspects were allegedly drunk at the time of the incident.
