Dayal's Sawmillers Ba FC have ended a seven-year wait for the national league title after a dominant 6-0 victory over Tailevu Naitasiri FC at the 4R Stadium at Govind Park in Ba.
The victory secured the 2026 Extra Premier League title for the Men in Black and gave the club its record 22nd national league championship.
Ba went into the Round 17 match knowing a win would be enough to seal the title and delivered in front of their home supporters.
The hosts were made to work for the breakthrough, with John Orobulu finally finding the back of the net in the 37th minute to give Ba a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Ba stepped up the pressure after the break, scoring five more goals to complete a convincing victory.
Orobulu scored a hat-trick, while Praneel Dayal, Vilitati Kautoga and Shazil Ali also found the net.
The win takes Ba to 39 points, putting the championship beyond the reach of their nearest challengers.
Ba have also secured the title with one match still in hand against defending champions Rewa FC.
The achievement completes a domestic double for Ba, who also won the 2026 BiC Fiji FACT earlier this year.
After seven years of waiting, the Men in Black are once again national league champions and have added a record 22nd title to their history.
