Minister for Information, Environment and Climate Change and the first-ever female President of a Rugby Union in Fiji, Lynda Tabuya, says the doors of the Kadavu Rugby Union are open to players participating in this week’s Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union Super Deans final if they are interested in joining the team.
Speaking to fijivillage Sports, Tabuya says Deans players who want to continue developing their rugby careers can join Kadavu Rugby Union for valuable exposure and game experience.
She is also looking forward to an exciting Super Deans final between Suva Grammar School and Lelean Memorial School.
Tabuya says she is proud of both teams for reaching the final, particularly Suva Grammar, which has been chasing Deans glory for a long time.
She says she is backing Lelean Memorial School in the Under-18 final, given the school’s connection to the Triple N Zone and the fact that several members of her family attended the school.
Tabuya wishes all players taking part in the finals this week the best and hopes to see a good display of tough clean and competitive rugby.
Lelean will face Grammar in the grand final of the Vodafone Super Deans this Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
