Rewa FC has confirmed that a former Fiji and district level football player, charged in relation to sexual offences has joined the club.
In a statement, the club acknowledged that the player has been charged by Police in relation to an indictable offence and that the matter is currently before the courts.
Rewa FC says it will not comment further on the case as legal proceedings are ongoing.
The club stressed that under the law, every person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law and said that the player is entitled to the same fairness, dignity and due process.
Rewa says it will continue to support him as a member of its football family while respecting the independence of the court process.
The Delta Tigers have also called on fans, supporters, media and the wider football community to avoid speculation or the spread of unverified information while the matter is before the courts.
Rewa says its focus remains on supporting its players, upholding the values of the club and respecting the rule of law.
Meanwhile, the team is preparing for the 2026 BiC Fiji FACT, where it will begin its campaign against Navua at 5pm this Friday at Subrail Park.
The team will then take on Suva at 2pm on Saturday before facing defending champions Labasa at 3pm on Sunday.
