The wait is finally over for customers as Jacks of Fiji has reopened its Damodar City store in Suva, following a near-$1 million investment aimed at providing a modern and improved shopping experience.
Jacks Director Devin Khatri says the investment reflects the company's confidence in the Suva market and its commitment to creating a more engaging experience for customers.
Khatri says they are excited and happy with the reopening following about eight weeks of renovation.
He says the renovation was completed ahead of schedule, with the store reopening one to two weeks earlier than initially planned.
Khatri says the Damodar City outlet had been closed since the beginning of August, temporarily affecting sales at what the company describes as one of its critical stores.
However, he says the business is expected to rebound following the reopening, as the response from customers has already been strong.
Khatri says a crowd had gathered outside before the opening, with an estimated 150 to 200 customers inside the store during the morning.
He says the store features modern architectural elements, redesigned signage and futuristic track lighting aimed at placing greater emphasis on the products and their presentation.
Khatri says the new concept draws inspiration from international retail stores and is expected to serve as a benchmark for future Jacks outlets across Fiji.
The Damodar City store currently employs around 47 staff.
Meanwhile, regular customer Tia Harm Nam, who had been eagerly awaiting the reopening, says the newly renovated outlet has a very modern touch.
She says the revamped outlet will give customers a better and more exciting experience while allowing them to shop more comfortably.
