Five new jobs have been created in Seaqaqa following the opening of a new Value City outlet, expected to make shopping more convenient for people in the area.
The outlet offers clothing, children's toys, kitchen equipment and household items, giving people in Seaqaqa and surrounding communities another shopping option closer to home.
Speaking to fijivillage News, Value City Manager Glenice Pickering says convenience was one of the main reasons behind opening the outlet in Seaqaqa.
Pickering says customers previously had to travel to Labasa for their shopping. However, they can now access a range of products in Seaqaqa.
She says the outlet offers a wide range of products at affordable prices while maintaining quality.
Pickering says one of the challenges faced by the business is making cash deposits, as there is no bank in Seaqaqa.
She says the town has only one ATM and not all bank cards are accepted.
Despite the challenges, Pickering is encouraging people in Seaqaqa and nearby communities to visit the new outlet.
She says their aim is to provide customers with convenient access to affordable and quality products closer to home.
