Young people are ambassadors of peace and they should use it to build a better future - AG

Young people are the ambassadors of peace and they should use it to build a better future for the country.

This was highlighted by the Attorney General and Minister for Education Aiyaz Sayed‑Khaiyum while speaking to 1,200 students at the National Scouts Jamboree camp in Vunimoli Primary School in Labasa.

Sayed-Khaiyum says that government has identified the Scouts Association as one organisation that they can partner with to ensure that Fiji is builds young people who will learn of their civic duties and about developing a good relationship with other Fijians.

Sayed-Khaiyum adds that the government also understands that the Scouts Association has a focus on sustainability, resilience and Peace adding that government has allocated more than $200,000 towards the Scouts Association in the country.
