"The Shape of Water" that has the most nominations at the 90th Academy Awards has won the Oscar for Best Picture this afternoon.
Guillermo del Toro has won the best director Academy Award for his film "The Shape of Water," and the movie also bagged the Oscar for Best Production Design.
Frances McDormand's portrayal of a mother seeking justice for her murdered daughter in "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" has won the best actress Academy Award while Gary Oldman's transformation into Winston Churchill for "Darkest Hour" has won him the Oscar best actor in a leading role.
It is McDormand's second Oscar and Oldman's first win on only his second nomination, despite his lengthy career of compelling performances.
Kobe Bryant’s animation about basketball called “Dear Basketball” has won the Oscar for the Best Short animation film while the movie Coco bagged the Oscar for Best feature animated film at the 90th Academy Awards this afternoon.
Allison Janney has won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for the movie “I Tonya” while Sam Rockwell has won the Oscars for Best Supporting Actor for the movie “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri”.
In Other Awards
Best Original Song was won by the song Remember Me from the animation Coco. to
“Call Me By Your Name” has won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay and the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay went to the movie “Get Out”.
Meanwhile, “Dunkirk” has bagged two Oscars for Best Sound Editing and Best Sound Mixing.
