39-year-old Emmanuel Macron, the leader of the Centrist Party has been elected as the next French President.
He is the youngest French President to be elected.
Main projections give Macron 65 percent of the votes in the second round of voting in the French election.
His far right rival, Marine Le Pen who will take about 34 percent of the votes, has conceded defeat.
