Fiji Muslim League partners with Department of Social Welfare to celebrated Senior Citizens week

The Fiji Muslim League for the first time in partnership with Department of Social Welfare were celebrated Senior Citizens week at the Makoi Vocational Centre.

70 year old Lubila Bibi says that the celebration by the Fiji Muslim League has made her feel special today adding that her message to the younger generation is that they should always respect and look after their elders. 

The representative of Fiji Muslim League Muhammed Shamim Ali says that the Makoi branch will continue celebrating the senior citizens week so that the youngsters can learn that giving respect and care for elders is really important.

72 year old Zubeeda Mukeem says that after todays celebration she felt really good and has enjoyed a lot.

1st Oct is marked as the International Day for senior citizens week but for the first time in Fiji this is celebrated for one week.
