Labasa fought back twice to earn a 2-all draw against Suva in an entertaining Extra Premier League clash.
Suva got off to a flying start, taking the lead in just the fifth minute through Siotame Kubu.
Labasa responded positively and controlled much of the play after conceding early.
Their efforts paid off in the 11th minute when Jovesa Uqe found the back of the net to level the scores at 1-all.
Suva regained the advantage in the 32nd minute as Siotame Kubu grabbed his second goal of the match, giving the capital side a 2-1 lead at halftime.
The second half produced exciting end-to-end football, with both teams creating several scoring opportunities.
Labasa eventually drew level through Melvin Mani, making it 2-all. Despite late chances for both sides, neither team could find the winning goal as the match ended in a thrilling draw.
Labasa coach Alvin Chand praised his players' determination acknowledging that it was a tough game.
He says they were trailing 2-1, but the fighting spirit among the players helped them come back and earn the draw.
Suva coach Pita Rabo says he was pleased with his team's effort despite missing out on victory.
Rabo says the boys put in a wonderful performance, but could not get the win.
In tomorrows matches, Ba will face Navua at 3pm, Tailevu/Naitasiri will face Nadi at 12pm at HFC Bank Stadium, before Rewa take on Nadroga at 2pm at the same venue.
Lautoka will host Nasinu at 1pm at Churchill Park.
In the current standings, Labasa lead with 28 points, followed by Ba on 27, Rewa are third with 25 points, while Lautoka are fourth with 20.
