Communications Fiji Limited, the parent company of PNGFM, has appointed Esther Gegelagi as the Chief Executive Officer for PNGFM Ltd.
Gegelagi brings more than 15 years of leadership experience across the media, marketing, events, technology and corporate sectors in Papua New Guinea.
She holds a Bachelor of Business Management (specialising in marketing and digital business) from Waikato University in New Zealand.
She is widely respected for delivering brand growth, leading high-performing teams, strengthening client partnerships and driving digital transformation.

Gegelagi's appointment marks a strong step forward for PNGFM as the business continues to expand its radio, digital and commercial platforms.
He says Gegelagi's leadership combines local market understanding with modern commercial and digital strategy, making her well placed to lead PNGFM into its next phase.
Gegelagi has held senior leadership roles at major organisations, including Remington Group, where she oversaw integrated marketing strategy across multiple business units. and led the establishment of Paradise Cinemas for the CPL/PNGFM/Damodar joint venture.
She previously held management roles at PNGFM, progressing from on-air talent to Event Manager.
She also led the establishment of Paradise Cinemas for the CPL/PNGFM/Damodar joint venture as General Manager.
This gives her a rare combination of external commercial experience and deep internal knowledge of the PNGFM business.
As CEO, Gegelagi will focus on strengthening client partnerships, expanding digital revenue opportunities, developing emerging talent, enhancing operational performance and growing PNGFM’s market leadership in Papua New Guinea.
Gegelagi says she is excited to return to PNGFM at a time of strong opportunity for the media industry.
She says having started her career at PNGFM, it is a full-circle moment to come back with new experience and perspective.
