Diwali celebrations at Police Headquarters have reminded officers of the importance of unity, fairness and trust in building a safer and more stable Fiji.
Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu says every positive action by a member of the Fiji Police Force contributes to a safer and more stable country.
In his address to officers during the celebrations, Tudravu says the light of Diwali reminds them that even a small light can make a difference in darkness.
Reflecting on this year's theme, “Lighting the Path to Stability, Growth and Unity,” Tudravu stressed the importance of officers working together as one force.
He says the Fiji Police Force must bring light where there is uncertainty, reassurance where there is fear, fairness where there is disagreement and hope to people facing difficulties.
Tudravu also reminded officers to continue upholding the trust placed in them by the people they serve.
The Fiji Police Force has extended its well wishes to everyone for a joyous, safe and prosperous Diwali.
