Nasinu Town Council steps up efforts to keep Nasinu clean throughout 2026
Keeping Nasinu clean remains a top priority for the year ahead, as depot workers pledge to lift service standards and strengthen their commitment to every neighbourhood they serve throughout 2026.

The pledge was made during a depot team briefing held this week with the Nasinu Town Council Chairman and Acting Chief Executive Officer, together with Manager Community Services Tevita Tawake and Senior Health Inspector.

The Nasinu Town Council says team Nasinu is ready to take on the challenges ahead, stressing that from regular grass cutting and drain maintenance to the prompt collection of household and green waste, the focus remains on cleaner streets, safer public spaces, and healthier communities.

The Council says it will continue to work closely across departments to improve response times, target hotspot areas, and support environmental education in schools and settlements.

The Nasinu Town Council is calling on residents, businesses, and community groups to partner with the Council by disposing of waste responsibly, keeping verges tidy, and reporting illegal dumping or damaged infrastructure when they see it.

The Council adds that residents’ co-operation helps crews work faster and more effectively, ensuring resources are directed where they are needed most.
