Yoga classes, meditations in hotels can attract more tourists

The President of Fiji Hoteliers Association believes that offering Yoga classes and meditations in hotels and resorts is an attractive activity that can attract more tourists to the country.

However, Dixon Seeto said that different hotels have different requirements as resorts in remote areas are conducive to Yoga and Meditation.

He said these activities not only relaxes the body but relaxes the mind as well and that is the only reason why people go on holidays.

He said if successful, these Meditation and Yoga activities apart from other various activities for the tourists can prove to be quite a lucrative offer.

Seeto's comments come following a story we ran earlier this week that some resorts in the country have started providing tourists with Yoga classes to see that they not only enjoy their stay in Fiji but also keep fit physically.

The Daku Resort in Savusavu has opened its custom built Yoga Shala or covered platform with space for up to 24 people at a time.

Another Resort is the Papageno eco resort in Kadavu which also has designated ‘Yoga Bure’ metres from the beach where morning and evening meditations and yoga practice is held.
