Minister for Agriculture and Waterways Dr. Mahendra Reddy says when Sitiveni Rabuka carried out the coup in 1987, majority of the iTaukei were applauding and cheering in support of the coup.
While speaking in Parliament, Dr. Reddy claimed that in 2006 when the Prime Minister took over the reins of the government to put an end to discrimination and bring prosperity to Fiji, the same people turned around and said it is bad.
He also asked the leaders in the opposition not to remain silent when their neighbours, friends or fellow colleagues are making racial comments.
Reddy says he assures people who chose other political parties that FijiFirst is here to serve all and provide services without discrimination.
