Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women’s front rower, Anasimeci Korovata says for them to attain a win for their first game against the Queensland Reds, the girls need to follow their game plan.

Korovata says the new players have blended well during the past few weeks of camping, and have proved themselves that they can come out victorious in the first match.

The 27-year-old from Veidrala Village in Nakorotubu, Ra with maternal links to Namatakula in Nadroga but was born and raised in Australia.

She says her rugby career started when she attended university before joining a rugby club in Canberra and then playing for the Brumbies for a couple of years since 2018.

Korovata said last year she joined the Drua Women’s team.

The Drua Women will take on the Reds in their first match of the 2024 Super Rugby Women's season at 3.35pm this afternoon in Ballymore, Brisbane.
