Water supply has not been restored and it will take time to get supply back to normal because the damages to the infrastructure are huge.
Ba Water Supervisor Naresh Chandra said they have not been able to restore the supply of water to most parts of Ba and will not be able to do so for some time.
Chandra said they have been carting water from as far as Tavua and Lautoka to ensure people have clean water to use.
30,000 Stranded In Moto- Ba
Close to 30,000 people living in Ba are unable to travel to Ba town after the main bridge linking to Ba town got washed away.
Balevuto Advisory Councillor, Anil Sharma told Fijivillage News that the Moto bridge got washed away during the flooding and people are now stranded.
According to Sharma, people have to swim and cross the river if they want to go to Ba town.
