Mitieli Kelikoula with his mum Temalesi Bulisoro.

Kids living with cancer and other life threatening diseases were treated to a birthday party by WOWS Kids Fiji yesterday.

Present at the birthday party were cancer patient Mitieli Kelikoula and his mother Temalesi Bulisoro who are currently admitted at the CWM Hospital Oncology Ward for the past two months.

Bulisoro said Mitieli is suffering from kidney cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy.

At the birthday party, Bulisoro recalled how she woke up one morning in November last year and saw her 5-year-old’s stomach blotted.

The 28-year-old said her son was rushed to the Savusavu Hospital before he was transferred to the Labasa Hospital and later to the CWM Hospital.

Bulisoro, who has 4 children including Mitieli, said her family has been very supportive since they found out about Mitieli’s condition.

More than 10 children including those who have successfully completed their treatment attended the birthday party.
