Vude Queen, Laisa Vulakoro says Communications Fiji Limited, the parent company of FM96, LegendFM, VITIFM, Navtarang, Radio Sargam and fijivillage, has always been there for artists like her from the 1980s to now.

While speaking during the launch of CFL’s Gratitude Concert, Vulakoro calls on people to come and party at Albert Park to celebrate CFL 40th anniversary this Saturday.

Vulakoro says she is excited and looking forward to taking the stage this Saturday.

Vude icon, Georgina Ledua says her most vivid memory of CFL was being approached to do a jingle for Fiji Showcase in 1986.

Resonance Entertainment Director and artist Apakuki (KUKI) Nalawa says he is blessed to be among legends of the Fiji music industry and that is thanks to CFL.

CFL made history when it first went on air on 5th July 1985, becoming one of the first privately owned broadcasters in the region.

Since then, CFL has grown into a powerhouse of trusted media brands, cherished by listeners, online followers, clients, and communities across Fiji and PNG.

Now, it’s time to celebrate our journey—and yours!

Starting tomorrow, 3rd July, we kick off a three-day celebration with a series of exciting events leading up to our grand finale concert on Saturday, 5th July at Albert Park.

There will be a client seminar from 9am–1pm tomorrow at Metro Events Centre with Steve and Catherine Toms plus our long-time consultant Eriks Celmins to educate clients on the latest digital media and AI based marketing trends.

This will be followed by a cocktail from 6pm to 9pm at the home of CFL at 231 Waimanu Rd — an evening of networking and celebration with our valued advertising clients.

On Friday selected staff will have a seminar with their overseas consultants followed by a heartfelt evening dedicated to former CFL team members who helped shape our legacy from 6pm to 10pm.

The free concert on Saturday will be from 4pm to 11pm with artists like Seru Serevi, Laisa Vulakoro, Saimoni Vuatalevu, Big Wilz, Steve Macomber, Kuki, Georgina Ledua, Ciwa Music artists Kaliti, Ratu, Asinate and Oni, Rosi Loa, Tom Mawi, Vegas 6, Marama, The Gang, Nicky and Ouvacast and Billy T as well as entertainment from the VOU Dance Company and the Bollywood Dhamaka Show from the Navtarang and Radio Sargam team.

The fun starts from 12pm Saturday at Albert Park as there will also be food stalls and a bouncy castle for everyone coming for the event.
