There will be employment opportunities for the people of Rakiraki as Volivoli Beach Resort has announced that they will be back and open for business by November this year.
At least 10 positions would be available once the resort is opened.
Resort General Manager Nick Darling said they are making considerable progress and are confident that they will be reopening the Resort on the 1st of November.
He said this is well ahead of their initial predictions immediately after the Tropical Cyclone Winston in February.
Darling said they are extending their main building and renovating the kitchen, restaurant, dining and guest services area.
He said they will also be adding an additional eight Luxury Ocean View Villas with individual swimming pools to their room inventory later in 2017.
