The driver of the van alleged to have caused an accident on Sunday morning in Viseisei, Lautoka along Queens Road has been questioned and released.
Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro has confirmed that investigators are now awaiting the results of tests conducted to ascertain whether he was driving under the influence of alcohol.
Naisoro says that the other passengers remain admitted in Lautoka hospital.
Three passengers were rushed to the Lautoka Hospital for treatment after a head‑on collision between a van and a truck in Viseisei, Lautoka along Queens Road on Sunday morning.
Naisoro says that the minivan was driven by a 27‑year‑old of Field 40 in Lautoka and was on his way to Nadi from Lautoka when he allegedly veered onto the opposite lane that hit a truck driven by a 43‑year‑old man of Wainadoi, Navua.
