Uruguay’s Coach Esteban Meneses. has named his final 31 member squad to the Rugby World Cup with brothers Juan Diego and Agustín Ormaechea following their father’s footsteps.
Flanker Juan Diego is in line to make his Rugby World Cup debut next month while younger brother Agustín is one of 12 players returning for a second tournament.
Flanker Juan Gaminara will captain the side.
Uruguay’s coach expects this year’s World Cup to be a physical tournament where they will open their campaign against Fiji on the 25th of this month at 2.15pm before playing Georgia four days later.
He says they have selected eight front rowers because he thinks that it is in the forwards that the physicality in the tournament will hit them most.
Uruguay is pooled with Australia, Fiji, Wales and Georgia in the Rugby World Cup in Japan.
