Udu villagers grateful to be alive

Udu villagers grateful to be alive
This Easter we are grateful to be alive and for the things we have.

Those were the sentiments of the villagers of Udu in Totoya Lau, who said that Hurricane Tomas brought about a lot of devastation completely destroying 10 homes and plantations, but having lost no lives during the disaster has made them grateful for what they have, despite it being limited.

Josese Salabiau, Navesi Primary School head teacher in Udu village said the villagers have spent their Easter weekend gathering what food they could use to celebrate resurrection Sunday today.
