UNICEF today donated 14,000 more water purification tablets to the Western Division to aid flood victims who cannot access clean drinking water.
In receiving the donation, National Advisor Non-Communicable Disease Dr. Isimeli Tukana said these water purification tablets will ease the burden for people in the flood affected areas in searching for clean water.
Dr. Tukana said these purification tablets will not be effective in collected creek or river water.
In addition to the donation, UNICEF gave 10,000 packs of bathing soap and 30,000 sachets of ORS for the flood victims.
This will also be distributed to the Northern Division.
