National Federation Party Leader Professor Biman Prasad

National Federation Party Leader Professor Biman Prasad says this is a time for our leaders to put national interest above self-interest.

While giving his Diwali message, Professor Prasad says people must not assume that everything is and will be okay.

The NFP Leader says assumptions and the sole desire for power and prosperity and aspirations for monetary benefits at all times can erode our self-dignity and respect.

He believes that it is important that the significance of Diwali transcends into our daily lives. The 14 years exile of Lord Ram and his triumphant return to the Kingdom of Ayodhya signified the establishment of Ram Rajya.

Professor Prasad adds that the bleak future and dark clouds of uncertainty due to a depressed economic environment that has been accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic can have catastrophic consequences on many, many thousands of lives of our people.

He says they know that many families are struggling to make ends meet, many have lost jobs and income.

Professor Prasad says they understand their pain and suffering.

He stated that meaningful solutions that put the lives of people first must be the priority of any kind and caring government.

These are the virtues that Lord Rama preached and practiced.

He says that Lord Rama put the interest of others above his own.
