New Swire Shipping Fijian Drua CEO Mark Evans believes that the Drua will only get better in their second year of Super Rugby Pacific and is looking forward to be a part of this journey.

Evans who arrived into the country last weekend has officially started in his new role on Monday taking over from Brian Thorburn who is expected to go back to the Fiji Rugby Union.

While fronting the Fiji Media for the first time, Evans says it was a privilege to be selected for this role and has paid tribute to Thorburn for setting up the team.

Evans says he is excited for what the next season looks like for the Drua.

Evans adds that in order to have a successful franchise, every little thing counts.

Meanwhile the Fijian Drua will be playing six home games next season.

Coming to Fiji next year are 2022 champions Crusaders, 2022 finalists Blues, Melbourne Rebels, Queensland Reds, Moana Pasifika and the Hurricanes.

Their first match will be against the Moana Pasifika.
