The Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women’s side has received a major boost ahead of their Super Rugby Women’s semi final clash against the Western Force with the return of former captain and prop Bitila Tawake.

Tawake played for the Chiefs Manawa in this season's Super Rugby Aupuki competition in New Zealand where her team narrowly lost to the Blues in the final last weekend.

The Drua confirms that Tawake immediately joined the squad where she'll provide cover for the front row.

Coach Mosese Rauluni says it is great to have Tawake back as she has always been an important part of the Drua.

Rauluni says they have constantly been in touch and she will get on splendidly with the rest of the squad, all of whom know her well already.

He says Tawake comes into the team match fit and battle-hardened and will be a great asset to draw on as they prepare to take on the Western Force in Suva on Friday.

The Fijian Drua Women will play the Western Force at 4.35pm Friday at the HFC Bank Stadium.
