TFL board confirms CEO sent on leave

The board of Telecom Fiji Limited has today clarified that they have sent the TFL Chief Executive Officer, Taito Tabaleka on leave because they are concerned about some operational issues.

TFL Chairman, Felix Anthony said they have requested Tabaleka to take some leave while these issues are being dealt with.

Fijivillage has received confirmation that the TFL board met yesterday and informed Tabaleka to go on leave from today before they seek certain explanations from him.

When we contacted Tabaleka, he only confirmed that he was on leave.

Anthony said whilst Tabaleka is on leave, TFL Group Chief Operating Officer, Sakeasi Seru will be Acting CEO and TFL Manager Customer Services, Marika Vada will be Acting Chief Operating Officer.

Seru and Vada have had over 30 years experience with TFL.
