Suva Marathon organised a 10 km social run to raise awareness and also raise funds for WOWS Kids Fiji this morning.
Suva Marathon Club Manager, Noelene Mallam says every month they usually look for a cause to support, and since August is WOWS Kids Fiji’s Cancer Awareness Month they decided to do their part in shining more light on them.
WOWS Kids Fiji Team Leader, Mere Williams says because of restrictions in place about gatherings, they usually rely on social media to spread their messages.
Williams says that they are limited by resources and cannot do much in going out into the community for their outreach.
