102 students of the Labasa Multicultural Centre today had a reason to smile brighter as $13,500 worth of musical instruments were handed over to the centre by the Ministry of Education.
While Officiating the handover at Kshatriya Hall in Labasa, Education Minister Dr Mahendra Reddy acknowledged the hardwork of the students and teachers of the multicultural centre.
Reddy also reminded the multicultural centre that learning and practices should take be conducted in a proper manner so that students can fully benefit from multicultural centre.
Administrator of the Labasa multicultural centre, Prabha Naicker says that the 102 students currently take classes to learn how to play the tabla, dholak they also learn classical dance, mat weaving, sewing and island dance.
