Fiji Airways Men’s national 7s has won the World Cup and reached a few finals in the last tournaments and there is no issue with the strength and conditioning of the team.

This was highlighted by coach Ben Gollings after fijivillage News asked him whether the departure of former Fiji 7s Strength and Conditioning coach, Naca Cawanibuka has affected the physical condition of the team.

He says he is happy with the way the team is being conditioned and he wanted to change a few things when he took over as head coach.

Gollings says they were not losing games because of their conditioning but because of not making the right decisions on the field and not playing according to their game plan.

He further says with their physical condition, they can match any team in the HSBC World 7s Series, but the players need to push themselves mentally.

Gollings says people should also understand what the players are going through mentally and physically and they are trying to provide all the support they can to the players.

Meanwhile, the next leg of the 2022/2023 HSBC 7s Series will be held in Los Angeles on the 25th and 26th of this month.
