The clock is ticking as only six hours remain for the Legend FM Annual Fiji Street Party with Digicel to get underway, and the organisers have assured that there will be something for people of all ages at the biggest event of the year tonight.
The event will be held at Albert Park and the organisers revealed that this will allow families to bring their mats and picnic sets down and countdown into the New Year with tens of thousands of people.
Total Event Company manager Loretta Jackson said since the event started in 1999 into 2000, there is something to carter for people of all ages they have brought in special features this year.
For a fifty year old mother of three from Savusavu this will be her first Legend FM Annual Fiji Street Party.
Vivili villager, Alanieta Rakokoti said she has always heard about the event on the radio but now she is happy that she is getting the chance to be amongst the thousands to welcome 2011.
Meanwhile, Tourism Fiji Chairman Patrick Wong said that the event has taken the lead in putting Fiji on the market.
Another bonus for the event is that many relatives and friends overseas will also join Fiji in the countdown to the new year as the event will be streamed live around the world on our website Fijivillage.com using state of the art cameras.
The Legend Fm Annual Fiji Street Party with Digicel will be held tonight from 7 o'clock at Albert Park.
