Recent heavy rain in the Northern Division has caused flooding resulting in several roads being closed.

The Fiji Roads Authority has confirmed that Lalakoro Low Level Crossing, Seaqaqa, Ravita Bailey Bridge on Natabe Road, Nadogo and Macuata are closed to all traffic.

Wainikoro Flats, Wainikoro Road, Olana Flats, Vunivutu Road, Nadogo, Zailav Low Level Crossing, Sigawe Splash Crossing, Namuavoivoi Road, Bua, Dawacumu Splash Crossing, Namuavoivoi Road, Nayagalevu Low Level Crossing, Sevaci Korotasere Road, Qelemumu Low Level Crossing, Wainikoro, Kawakawavesi Low Level Crossing, Natabe Low Level Crossing, Natabe Road and Vunivutu are closed to all traffic.

The FRA says Bua and Cawaira Road are only accessible to 4x4 vehicles.

Meanwhile, people should be prepared for more rain as an active trough of low pressure is expected to affect parts of the country for the next few days.

The Nadi Weather Office says a Flash Flood Warning remains in force for all low-lying, flash flood prone areas and small streams of Naitasiri Province, Coastal Serua-Namosi, Navua-Lami-Suva-Nausori and Tailevu through Rakiraki to Tavua and is now in force for parts of Vanua Levu including Labasa-Nadogo district, Coastal Vaturova and Saqani.

They say a Heavy Rain Warning remains in force for Fiji.
