Graduates from FNU’s College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences are doing a remarkable job in low resourced settings while contributing towards the improvement of health services in Fiji and the region.
This was highlighted by the the Royal Australasian College of Physicians Scholar‑Practitioner, Isabella Allan.
Allan, also a Facilitator, during the three‑day Pasifika Best Practice Health Professions Education Symposium says it astounds her that despite the challenges that graduates have to deal with on a daily basis, the dedication that they are demonstrating is quite phenomenal.
She says FNU is proving support for the development of the health workforce in the Pacific which is a significant contribution.
Meanwhile, Head of School of Health Sciences, Maria Waloki says she thinks the College has done a great job in educating health professionals from Fiji and the region, who have gone onto become leaders in their home countries.
