Roads/Bridges washed away
A number of bridges and roads have been washed away in Sigatoka and Ba as the Nadi Weather Office warns of more flash flooding in low lying areas today.

Lautoka Police confirm that Valley Bridge in Sigatoka has been washed away. The road leading to Sigatoka village is also closed to all the traffic as the bridge has been washed away.

There are reports that Navola and Korotogo bridges have also been washed away and Police have gone to inspect the area.

In Ba, Vutuni Bridge has been washed away and it is closed to all traffic.

Police also confirmed that more than 25 houses in Korotogo were under flood waters yesterday, however there are no reports of any injuries.

Meanwhile, the Nadi Weather office has issued a flash flood warning for low-lying areas as a trough of low pressure moves East across the group and is expected to cause heavy rain in most parts of the country today.
