Police Commissioner Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho says gold medalists and Police Constables Kalione Nasoko and Waisea Nacuqu have made them proud knowing that the Police force was represented at the Olympics.

While welcoming the duo back, Qiliho says the team's efforts brought so much joy during a difficult period in the nation's history as we battle COVID-19.

He also acknowledged other serving members of the institution who were part of Fiji's Tokyo 2020 Olympics campaign and all their contributions and achievements will be celebrated by the institution once the situation normalizes.

Nacuqu says being a Police Officer is a noble profession and he gets a lot of respect from members of the community.

He is urging young people to realize that everyone has a God-given talent and success is achievable through hard work.

Nasoko says that his determination and faith in God has been key to his success.

Nasoko who is based at Lautoka Police Station says joining the Fiji Police Force was also a childhood dream and he is grateful for the opportunity to serve the people of Fiji.

He is urging young people not to be discouraged by what other people may think of them, continue to think positively and focus on their dreams because anything is possible when you put in the hard work.
