The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua will return to Christchurch to take on the Highlanders in Super Round of the 2027 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season on 4th April.
Swire Shipping Fijian Drua Head Coach Brad Mooar says Super Round was a huge success in 2026, and the team is fizzing with excitement at the prospect of returning to Christchurch to face the Highlanders in 2027.
He says the hard and fast ground, a lively crowd of supporters, and the opportunity to connect with their Drua vuvale in Christchurch at the tail end of summer all make it feel like a home game for the team.
Super Round will bring together 10 teams for Round 8 of the season from 2nd to 4th April. The round returns to Christchurch following a successful 2026 edition, which attracted more than 73,000 attendances across the weekend at the newly opened venue.
The popular round will kick off on Friday, 2nd April, with the Crusaders taking on the Brumbies at 7.35pm (FJT).
Action continues on Saturday, 3rd April, with the Chiefs facing the Western Force at 5.05pm FJT, followed by the Blues against the Waratahs at 7.35pm (FJT).
On the final day, the Drua will take on the Highlanders, before defending champions the Hurricanes face the Reds at 4.30pm (FJT) to bring the Super Round weekend to a close.
With fixture details to be confirmed in the coming weeks, the 2027 Super Rugby Pacific season will feature an expanded 17-week regular season, with each team playing 16 matches before the top six progress to the Finals Series.
