Class eight student, Alisha Prasad said despite the State sharing a large chunk of education cost with the parents, many children are still unable to make it to school.
Making her submission to the Constitution Commission at Khemendra Central School, Prasad said some parents are financially burdened and cannot afford to provide basic education to their children.
She said that all fees should be paid up until Form 6 and that stationary should be provided for poor children as it is too expensive to buy them.
Prasad added the state should also provide computers in schools as many rural schools cannot afford computers.
