Police are working with the Lautoka Municipal Market to control the crowd at the market earlier today.

There were photos of a crowded Lautoka Market earlier today with lack of physical distancing.

When contacted by Legend FM News, Police say they had to control movements of the huge number of shoppers going into the market.

They say they did awareness on loudspeakers and also checked the CareFiji app, masks and ensured the 2 metres physical distancing.

Please follow the COVID-19 protocols and do not go into large crowds as cases continue to be recorded on a daily basis.
