Police are urging parents to monitor their children's whereabouts following concerns raised about young people gathering along Khalsa Road in the evenings.
A concerned resident has told fijivillage News that children, including girls wearing school uniforms, have been seen in the area after 8pm without adult supervision.
The resident also claims some young people have been seen sniffing glue and fighting, raising concerns about their safety.
In response to questions from fijivillage News, Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations Kasiano Vusonilawe has reminded parents and guardians to make their children's safety a priority.
Vusonilawe says parents must know where their children are, who they are spending time with, and ensure they return home safely.
He is also urging parents to make sure their children do not get involved with the wrong crowd.
