Police still trying to make a breakthrough in Rayna Prasad's murder case

Police are still trying to make a breakthrough in the case of the murder of 22-year-old Rayna Prasad who was found dead in a plantation along Muanikau Road last month.


Crime Scene where Rayna Prasad was murdered

Chief of Intelligence and Investigations ACP Vakacegu Toduadua says a woman and a man were taken in for questioning at Totogo Police Station earlier this month, however they have been released.

ACP Toduadua says the two remain suspects in the case and Police are continuing with their investigations.

He confirms that the two suspects are not related to Rayna Prasad.

Prasad was reported missing by her father on the 23rd of last month after she had failed to return home.

She had left home on the 22nd of last month.

Her partially burnt body was discovered on Christmas Eve in Muanikau Road in Suva.

Police confirm that Prasad was last seen alive at her home.

They are seeking the assistance of the public if they have any information that could assist in Prasad’s murder investigation.
