A 71-year-old man of Nakasi has passed away following an alleged hit and run accident yesterday.
Police say the incident occurred at the junction of Vavalagi Road in Nakasi.
It is alleged the man was crossing the road when he was hit by a vehicle which investigators are trying to track down.
The road death toll currently stands at 36 compared to 49 for the same period last year.
