Police are investigating an alleged sexual assault case of a seven month old baby girl.
Acting Police Chief of Investigations and Intelligence ACP Luke Navela says the seven month old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a close family member in the Western Division on Saturday.
Navela says all the necessary medical checks have been done on the seven month old girl.
He says the man has been in police custody from yesterday.
Police will be questioning other family members today.
