Police are using their band to spread the joy of the New Year in the communities and at the same time they are doing community policing.

Deputy Police Commander South and Senior Superintendent of Police Peni Keni says crime rate has reduced due to the police’s involvement with the stakeholders and the community.

Police say it was great to see young and old, enjoying the entertainment and they hope to continue building on community partnerships and working towards safer communities.

The Police Band has entertained residents of Makoi, Nadawa, Valelevu, Mead Road, Nabua and Raiwai and will be seen moving into other different communities today and this weekend.
