The Fiji Sports Council is now working on plans to have a covering at the embankment area at the ANZ stadium.
Fiji Sports Council Chairman Peter Mazey says with Fiji’s national stadium retaining its name as ANZ Stadium over the next five years, the Council is also looking at purchasing a much bigger screen.
Mazey says the Stadium Naming Rights contract with ANZ comes with a commitment of approximately $2.1 million.
He says this commitment will see that the stadium is well maintained at the high standard it is in right now.
In previous years ANZ together with the funds promised by the Government have invested $22 million on the upgrading of the ANZ stadium.
