A survey by an independent organization shows that the public in Fiji want a free and independent media.
As we mark International Media Freedom Day on Saturday, Fiji Media Council Chairman Daryl Tarte said this year they decided to do things differently and hired an independent organization to conduct a survey in all centers around Fiji.
According to Tarte, the survey shows that people want the government to ensure the media is free and they should be no interference.
